Within FL Studio, I used something called FLEX. It's basically a virtual instrument made of virtual instruments. The long and short of it is, there is a (sub-)instrument called "Asutag" and it generates somewhat randomized tones. Pressing a key generates a tone. Pressing it again though will give you a different tone. Kinda neat!
I decided to record these tones, sometimes solo, sometimes in combination, sometimes pressing them in quick succession like a strum, sometimes like an arpeggio, sometimes there's rhythm, sometimes there's drone, it's always a bit rough around the edges, but I always did like my sounds to have a little bite to them.
I hope you like these. Feel free to use these sounds in any of your artistic endeavors but you may not use these or distribute or re-distribute these as royalty free stock material.
Lastly, all I ask is that if you use this in anything, that you cite your source. You can cite me by linking to my Freesound.org people page: https://freesound.org/people/Hewn.Marrow/
Thank you and enjoy!
