Short, single bar loops that use a unique tuning system (that I have described below). The end result of the tuning system, the timbre of the instrument, and the odd time signature (11/8) resulted in a sort of Rugrats-esque vibe. I named the pack based on the creators of Rugrats (Klasky-Csupo). The music has a similar sound, but it's definitely it's own entity.
There are sixteen basic progressions without drums and each particular pattern has subvariants with varying drum patterns.
What was used:
FL Studio 21
VST: Sytrus "Ethnic Hit"
FPC: Jayce Lewis Direct In
Tuning System: Dwarf Scale 11 <3>
The scale that was used was generated in sevish.com/scaleworkshop, the intervals do not match the standard 12 tone temperament used in the vast majority of Western Music. Instead, the scale used is actually just-intoned (JI) meaning that simple ratios are used in lieu of using various roots of some interval (in the case of 12 tone temperament, each step is equal to the twelfth root of 2, then you take that number and you multiply that value by the frequency of a given note and it generates the next note above it).
This scale that was used has 11 notes and divides the tritave, or, the frequency ratio of 3 to 1.
The intervals used are:
10/9 : Minor Whole Tone : 182.404 cents, decimal expansion: 1.1...
11/9: Undecimal Neutral Third : 347.408 cents, dec exp.: 1.2...
4/3: Perfect Fourth: 498.045 cents, dec. exp.: 1.3...
13/9: Tridecimal Diminished Fifth: 636.618 cents, dec.exp.: 1.4...
5/3: Major Sixth, Bohlen-Pierce Sixth (BP Sixth): 884.359 cents, dec.exp.: 1.6...
16/9: Pythagorean Minor Seventh 996.090 cents, dec.exp.: 1.7...
2/1: Octave 1200 cents, dec.exp: 2
7/3: Minimal Tenth, Bohlen-Pierce Tenth (BP Tenth): 1466.871 cents, dec.exp.: 2.3...
22/9: Undecimal Neutral Tenth: 1547.408 cents, dec.exp. 2.4...
8/3: Pythagorean Perfect Eleventh: 1698.045 cents, dec.exp.: 2.6...
3/1: Tritave: 1901.955 cents, dec.exp.: 3/1
I hope you enjoy the sounds here, please feel free to use them in your own work all I ask is that you provide credit by naming me as the origin of the samples (Hewn.Marrow)
