An inflated balloon toy attached to a rubber band that is bumped around. I tie it off at the beginning, and untie it at the end, letting the air escape so it flies across the room.
Recorded with a Canon GL-2 internal microphone. Requested here: http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=805

Great job, thanks!

Perfect as a component for the sound of a large object falling down stairs. The noise is easily masked, and I think it can be filtered in any case. And your other balloon recording (balloon.flac) is hilarious. Thanks!

I probably set the gain too high when I was recording. The hum is selfnoise for my recording unit, which is (unfortunately) a video camera. I think it's caused by the motor that drives the tape- with my new tapeless system I think I've reduced this noise quite a bit (for new recordings.) Thanks for the input.

distortion, lots of limiting, loud hum
