LA 2019 Blade Runner apartment atmos.
A self-challenge to replicate the ambient sound of Deckard's apartment. Heavily based on the soundtrack of the movie Blade Runner.
Bandpass filtered white noise (FLStudio 3xOsc and Fruity Parametric EQ2). An automation track glides the steep bandpass filter back and forth to create the "whooing" sound.
The flanging doppler effect is also white noise filtered and flanged with the aid of automation tracks.
This track contains a snippet of sound identical to that of an Esper machine in humble tribute to the film's Sound Crew, among them Peter Pennell, Bud Alper, Graham V. Hartstone and Gerry Humphreys who received the 1983 BAFTA award for best sound.
