Tearing book pages: The sound of someone hastily tearing paper as well as sometimes tearing it more slowly, ripping sounds, abrupt and noisy sounds. This sound consists of several one shot variations in one take. This sound was recorded with a ZOOM H6 recorder and a RODE NTG-2 Shotgun mic. Post-processing was added in the form of a compressor in order to attenuate some of the sound's transients that caused clipping, while still keeping the rest of the sound's levels audible and vibrant. This sound was recorded by someone both hastily and slowly tearing sheets of paper into several smaller divisions. The smaller divisions would sometimes be placed over each other and then ripped in order to make the sound carry more impact, all while being recorded with a shotgun mic.
