The Prinkipo island (Prinkipos in greek, meaning The Princes' islands or Buyukada in Turkish, meaning Big Island) is located in Marmara sea and belong to Istanbul. Cars are mostly forbidden on the island so phaetons are used for public transport. People also use bicycles and small electric cars with carts behind them.

The location I chose for recording is the meeting point of all these and pedestrians as well. The stereo imaging works beautifully as you can hear the phaetons coming and going.

There's also a low frequency hum in the sound and it is coming from the engines of boats carrying people from other islands and Istanbul. I could have used low cut but I chose not to since I want everything reflected.

I had to cut some parts in Audition since curious people came and ask me questions about what I was doing. I tried my best do overlap them with fade in and out.
