This is the sound of Cuba jamming the 40 m ham band on 7 MHz. Since the Cuban protest of July 11 of this year, The Cuban government has been jamming the 7 MHz amateur radio band on a lot of frequencies.
This particular frequency that I recorded this was on 7162.0kHz.
In some cases this could be a bad problem for those trying to communicate on 7 MHz on the frequencies that are getting jammed by the signals. Especially when they're talking and they can hear that signal pretty strong, or if you're in somewhere like Florida or somewhere south and you can hear that pretty well. Sometimes you can even hear this at night. Recorded using the NA5B WebSDR website. Recorded July 23
