Oxygenated Breathing Inside Space Helmet is an ambient sound. The sound is derived from a part of the static vinyl record sample loated at: http://www.freesound.org/people/transitking/sounds/59285/
It was first timestretched, then cut to do a breathing cycle. Then some FFT filtering was done to lift out the right frequencies to increase the airy breathing effect. Furthermore in the sub frequencies, frequencies were lifted out that are known that plastics will not be able to dampen, dus giving a sense of something going on outside the space helmet too.
Inside the helmet echo reflections are calcuated using a spherical reverb algorythm, where the radius is about 40 centimeters (the size of the helmet). 4096 reflection are calculated. Top fron t left and right reflect almost 100%, while bottom 5% and back about 50%, giving a sense of the sound being slightly in front of you but does not get reflected from below the head (as the space suite is of a clothed material) and giving a pretty accurated Simulated Binaural recording effect.
To obey the rules of the continuum 5 dare, the cycle was then reversed and repeated.
