Here is a little gem, a sound file that is quite dear to me. Allow me to explain...Quite some time ago, I played around with converting image files to sound files. Or converting a sound file to an image, processing it in a graphics editor, and then back to audio to listen to the effects of the processing. This was some time ago... The date on the RAW file used to create this sound is 27 Dec 1997. I have actually changed computer twice since then, but always hanged on to this file - I was so in love with its unique sound. What is it then? This sound file is the result of the conversion of a black and white image of a portion of the surface of Europa (one of the moons of Jupiter) taken by the Galileo probe. Here is the link to the recent forum discussions that led to me posting this sound. The discussion started here:http://www.freesound.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=23053#23053and continued here:http://www.freesound.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5192Enjoy the sample.Your comments will be greatly appreciated !
