Drone sound created with a Korg Monotron Duo and Ableton Live 8, using Live's built in effects.
This sound starts with static (line noise) and because I have used a bit crusher in the signal chain you get a characteristic low bitrate 'white' noise.
This one does not really sound like anything in particular. The drone sounds are fairly short (for a drone) and overlap with the low bitrate noise.
Monotron was connected to the laptop soundcard input and Live's effects were used to liven up the sound and to add reverb.
I think the cable I used to connect the monotron to the computer is noisy. I know the monotron itself is quite noisy, but this cable seems to make it worse. So there is quite a bit of hiss in the recording. Sorry about that.
