This is the sound of a 98cc Sachs engine of a 1938 light motorbike. It is one of the bikes in my private collection.
The sounds reflect the fuel cock switching, flooding of the carburettor, sucking of the cylinder and two tries to bring the engine to life. The sound in between is the clutch lever.
The engine is started by pedaling the bike on its stand.
Main engine run features idle to half throttle open.
The engine is eventually stopped by using the decompression lever which you can hear at the end.
This is a true recording of the actual item.
