I experienced an insightful moment at the Gautrain station. Although I was scheduled to return the H6 recorder that same day, I decided to capture the ambiance of the station as part of a spontaneous recording session. I set the gain to approximately 4–5, aiming to balance the dynamic range of the station's sounds effectively. This decision allowed me to document the unique acoustic environment of the station, adding an unexpected and valuable dimension to my sound collection.
