Hi,
I'm looking for some audience responses. Not the full-blown yell-outs, strong clapping etc. - but more like the subtle "uhu", "no, I know", "sure, I know the feeling", "mmmmm" etc. sounds that a spell-bound audience makes during a presentation.
I'm gonna upload some of these from my own presentations, but they are actually hard to isolate from my speaking, so I am wondering whether you guys can come up with some of this?
Small or big audience, doesn't matter )
You could ask for a selection of different audience responses, and then layer them. I've had good luck doing that in the past. I'd be willing to contribute as well.
There could be something of use here.

Possibly the ones with amusing in the title ?
Thank you for the link. The "Moderately Amusing.wav" is closer to what I want (and a few of the other ones as well), but I actually want even less amusement ) Funny request, huh
The idea of layering - I am looking for a way to do this. Any suggestion would be very welcome. I use Pro Tools and Audacity, but I'm open to new ideas )

You might want to try some of the US Government audio of presidential speeches. Those are all public domain and there must be some audience responses in there you can use. One file is even just the applause:

but you can edit any of the files you like for responses you can use.
Try starting here: tate_of_the_Union_addresses" rel="nofollow">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Categorytate_of_the_Union_addresses or here:

Good luck.

My voice actors are spread out all over the world, so when I needed specific audience reactions, I emailed them the script of the speech they were reacting to and asked them to react accordingly, then just layered the various tracks one on top of the other. It really does work.
So my recommendation is: post a very specific request (probably in a new topic, as this one is fairly old by now) for *exactly* what you want. Make sure to give the participants some breathing room, as you don't want 8 people saying the same line.
For example:
SPEECH
And that's how I'm going to create world peace!
AUDIENCE
[ad lib various amazed and excited reactions]
If you can gather up enough participants, you'll end up with excellent audience audio.
