So I have a Youtube Channel (The Squid but you have to type in Enigmatic_Squid to find it) and am thinking about having some special music for my intro's outros. You guys are way better at making good music than I am, so if you want something to do, feel free to slap some samples here and I will definitely listen to all of them, and most likely will pick one of them for my channel. Thanks!
I'd like to try working on this. I have a couple questions though-
What sort of genre do you want this music cue to be? I specialize in synth chops, or lofi, but I'm willing to try other things.
Also, how long does this music cue need to be? I imagine if it's for a YouTube intro, you might only want five seconds or so, but depending on how long your outro screen is up, you could need up to twenty.
Once you answer these I can get to work. Thank you
So....I am still working on the animation for the intro scene, so I can't tell you exactly how long it will be. Probably around 10 to 15 seconds. Honestly for the genre, you can do whatever style you're best at. I was kinda thinking of not necessarily techno/dubstep, but still upbeat and modern. I hope that helps.
I've used an excerpt from an existing song of mine to make something for you, it's being moderated right now but will show up on my page in a few days. Let me know if you would like something different, or if you want me to add drums to what I gave you. If you do end up using the fragment I made, please give me due credit, either in the descriptions of your videos or on your home page. Preferably just the name f r a g i l e, maybe a SoundCloud link.
Thanks so much
Thank you very much! Also, as a part of my channel I'm hoping to do time lapses, so additional music for that, that could possibly be looped since the length of the time lapse isn't set in stone, if you want to make stuff for that to, then....yeah!
I've got a song in a similar genre to what I posted that I think would work for you, since it's loopable with slight readjustments. However since full tracks aren't allowed to be posted on freesound, I'll need your email to send you the file. If that's alright with you, you can give it to me in a private message.

Hi I want to know can people requests what ever sounds they want from here? And what benefit the sound artists get by giving sounds free?
I suppose there are as many reasons as there are people sharing. Many times, people create or record the sounds for independent reasons and then just share them on freesound to be helpful to others. Sometimes people might provide sounds that require work in response to requests because they want to improve their skills or reputation and find the request interesting or fun. And yes, you can request anything you want, but that doesn't mean you'll get any takers. Most common sounds will already be on here, somewhere, so many times the requests that require someone to volunteer to do real work will be for specific words/phrases or sounds that are kind of unusual. Some people might be interested in developing voice talent skills, foley skills, etc., and that might be why they volunteer.
It has been extremely rare that I (for one) would want to do fresh work to supply a request, though it has happened purely because I thought it would be fun. But sometimes I can suggest search strategies. For example, for this request, I might suggest to the thread originator that he/she could search for "abox" and "music" together in one search, and this should find a few pieces I've posted that might be useful for intro/outro music; but if I only said that, then I would just be promoting my own work instead of including other stuff worth considering. But just searching for "music" will get too much unrelated stuff and make wading through the search results more time consuming than it's worth. So you have to find a way to narrow it down, but finding the right tags or keywords for that can be very difficult since people don't generally use the same labels. That's why sometimes it is helpful to ask for help even for just finding stuff that might already be on here.
By the way, you probably should have made this a new topic instead of a reply to an existing one.
