Hi guys!
Okay so I'm writing a software program that simulates growing marijuana and I need some sounds to include in the project. If you have something or know of a file that would be good I would greatly greatly appreciate your help.
Here's what I need.
1. Water pouring into dirt.
(The sound of water trickling)
2. Water pouring into water.
(The sound of water trickling/splashing)
3. Dirt pouring into a ceramic pot.
(The sound of water trickling/splashing)
4. Dirt pouring into dirt.
(The rustling, dumping sound of dirt/potting soil falling)
5. Nutrient (pebbles) pouring into dirt.
(The rustling, scattering pebble sound of nutrient pellets falling)
6. Marijuana being moved from one container to another.
(The rustling sound of dried marijuana leaves falling)
I've been searching this awesome website for days and days but I can't seem to find anything, or maybe it's not being able to see the forest through all the trees.
With my sincere thanks!
Rob
Also, can you explain more in detail what is it you need?
E. g. "marijuana moving from one container to another", are you referring to plant pots or to minced/dried leaves?
I recommend "gravel" and "water pour" as search terms! It might be not necessary to use different sounds for 3, 4 and 5.
2. perhaps http://freesound.org/people/Quistard/sounds/166820/
6. Marijuana being moved from one container to another.
Maybe take one from http://freesound.org/people/unfa/packs/9995/ and cut the front off and fade in a little bit using http://audacity.sf.net until it has the right length?
Remember to give attribution to the original watermaster.
That part about marijuana moved from one container to another is just dried, minced leaves poured from one container to another. You might get that soonish.
All right, pebbles first, four different takes uploaded, should be approved soonish. These are mostly pebbles falling into empty containers (glass, ceramic, paper, plastic), but you can use the sustained sound immediately after the initial drop, when there's already something on the bottom. The longest take is 28 seconds. This is somewhat draft quality, background noise can be reduced, boominess could be reduced as well.
Hey, so, are any pebble sounds suitable?
Also, what's the game for, and when/where/how is it going to be released?
