Hi, I'm new here, but am having great difficulty trying to download some of your
excellent sounds. No indication as to how to actually do it! Eventually I've downloaded
something called Lame, according to the FAQs on this site, that appears to be what I should do.
But no sign of it on my computer so can't access it, and still can't download the sound
effects I'm after! Please inform me how I can do this.
Click on the title of the file you are interested in (not the waveform). That will take you to the file, on the right under the waveform there is a yellow box with Download written on it, just click that and you have it.
Lol, Now since you know how to download sounds you can download my sounds(Pun intended)
What ever, I was just making a joke out of it(Sorry for not making a "PUN"!)
Thanks very much,- afraid I can be a bit dim sometimes with stuff like this!
Its fine, as long as people figure it out one way or another its all fine
I’m having the same problem with my iPad. I can play the file, I just can’t download it.
I have a Shortcut that enables me to download files from a URL, but even though the URL is the direct link to the .WAV it only downloads the freesound.org HTML file.

I don't think Freesound is intended for iOS. Sorry.
It's not. But Now, since this thread began, I know of a way to download sounds onto an iOS device.
You can use the free web browser app eDL. There's a lite version which is free and gets you access to download from web pages like Freesound. The pro version is about £2.00, not sure what extra functionality it offers.
This is what I recommend to users who contact us through the site.
I hope this helps some people.
Hi,
I'm able to download Freesound sounds using Safari on iOS 13. Just the same as I'd do on the desktop.
Older versions of iOS did not allow downloads in a simple way, but now it should just work.

gosh, you're right! I hadn't even tried to do this since getting my new phone on iOS 13.
Good information to know.
Cheers
