So, continuing what is now becoming an exercise in stubbornness, I am going to post yet another dare.

Although not many sounds have been uploaded (yet) for Dare 2025-08, there are enough. More sounds may be added in the future, since that dare has no deadline/end date.

I chose the sound source for Dare 2025-08 already with the intention of launching this dare afterwards. Friction sounds produces with fabric / woven materials tend to have a strong noise component and to be non-resonant. - Ideal starting materials to use in sound-design to craft percussion sounds.

RULES:
- You can only use sounds tagged with "Dare2025-08" as raw materials to create percussion sounds.
- Tag your sounds with "Dare2025-08A", in addition to any other tags that might apply.
- You can use and combine as many of the source sounds as you want.
- You can use any processing / effects you want, but no other sound sources are allowed.
- Please give attribution for the sounds used. Ideally, use the sound remix functionality.
- In your send description, include a summary of the methods and effects used.
- Post here with a link to your sounds.
- Posts with technique discussions also welcome.

DEADLINE - there is no deadline. This is an open-ended dare and will remain open forever.

This one technically isn't a Dare2025-08A, given it's using sounds from Dare2025-09 (metal series). So I'm using a new tag Dare2025-Friction-A indicating it's a modified Dare2025-Friction series.
