This standup bass was sampled using a direct pickup as well as stereo overhead mics for some room ambience. Articulations include a normal pizzicato, or finger plucked note; a stopped note as performed with the finger; a stopped note performed Bartok style; and some miscellaneous sound effects: a slide by the hand down the strings, a slap on the strings, and a knock on the wooden body of the bass. Do enjoy; feedback is welcome!

Hi all, Rhodes Old Town had me in a patient mood, so I played Jacks or Better with fixed units and 20-hand blocks. I kept the paytable in view and forced a one-minute pause after each block. While reviewing draw odds, I sampled casino vincispin; pairs warmed me up, then a straight and a small flush settled the day. Greece rewards routine: step into the shade by the medieval walls, breathe, and let the ferries do the rushing. My only superstition now is a pen—no logging, no next session.
