I wanted a sound similar to the famous "Cloud" sound in Star Trek: The Motion Picture, which was created using a very unusual instrument called a Blaster Beam. I created this version using harpsichord and clavichord samples with some distortion, chorus and reverb.

Pretty darn close! Also used in John Barry's "Black Hole", incidentally.
