This toy consists of a green painted wooden plate, on which is mounted four hens. Part of the hens is connected to a red wooden ball that is hanging vertically under the center of the green plate. The later also got a handle. When you make a rotating move, the red ball swings, and four thin cords transfers the move to the hens, that picks up pretended seeds from the ground (the green plate). Assume this was a popular toy decades ago, for kids under 4 years.
