The tambourine - pandeiro in portuguese - consists of a single tension-headed drum with jingles in the frame. It is very present on traditional brazilian music, including capoeira songs.
This sound is part of a pack of sound samples recorded from a tambourine with goat leather membrane and soft jingles mounted in a wood frame.
The original sound was recorded using a Tascam DR 100- MKii portable recorder, configured to record at 96 kHz and 24 bits. The sounds was detached from a live performance record.
I hope this sounds can be useful for musicians and researchers that are interested by musical instruments samples.
