inspired by the latest Freesound Dare project to utilise old tape recordings, I discovered this old and noisy cassette tape my old grandad made in 1978 in Northern Britian to send out to relatives in New Zealand. Here he talks about the tape recorder he is using - hoping the quality will be ok...! ;)
It is on a Boots Audio micro-ferric C60 cassette tape and rerecorded from a 1980's vintage Walkman Cassette Player through a 2012 vintage Focusrite Saffire Pro24 audio interface into glorious 24bit digital audio. ;O)
