Summer night sound in Palo Alto, California, at around 9pm. We can hear some cicadas and some background city noise. You can compare this sound with the one recorded at the same place but at 3am, Palo-Alto-night-3am.wav, this one has more insects and louder city noise. According to eric5335 we can hear Snowy Tree Crickets and Riley's Tree Crickets.

  Thanks for the info. The sound was recorded the first week of september 2009 at around 9pm. I do not know about their singing season.

  Great sound! 10 stars! Thanks for uploading! I can identify the crickets as being a "Snowy Tree Cricket" and a "Riley's Tree Cricket". But I can't identify the close one. May I ask when the sound was recorded? Which month? And how long is their singing season?
