Our galaxy, as well as others, are crossed by radiowaves,some of which come from so far away places that the signal is nearly distinguished, but many radiowaves have not been attenuated much, so you need a rather simple receiver for catching the signal, THEN it ain't that easy any more. In principle all jobs start with starting your local oscillator, mix incoming signals with the local osc frequency, which results in lots of intermediate frequencies, which are easier to handle than the incoming radiowaves. But there ae Tools for solv all problems. You may switch on true Xtal filters that are so stable in their resonance frequency , that you can begin to analyze single frquencies for possible messages.
I have tried to 'visualize' this wide spectrum in this file, but the result became rather boring. Therefore , most of what you hear is strong DISTURBING signal packages of all kinds. Mighty such transmitters can be so effective, that not even the best noerd can get any worthy out of the received signals. The real trouble with such radio marodeurs is that they can go on for hours sending trash, and without warning they can stop for a second, send an impor tant message for one second and then start sending crazy signals until they are needed again .,
