In Japan you usually throw a 5 yen coin into a wooden box before a temple or shrine, then ring the bell or gong and pray. This is the sound of the coin going into the wooden box, and the ringing of the metal chimes (bell) at a shrine in Kashiwa, Chiba Japan. Recorded August 2006.
