Fountain located in downtown Saskatoon, Canada, recorded by David Puls on September 10th 2009.
The source was captured with a matched pair of Josephson C42 microphones through a Rolls phantom power unit and into a Tascam DR-07 portable solid-state recorder. The files were then loaded into Pro Tools for editing (removal of cars, jets, voices etc). This is an excerpt from the original 20 minute recording.
Please note: Being a small fountain the water didn't sound 'wet' enough. The original file actually sounded like paper being crumpled or a fierce fire. We therefore slowed the recording down by one octave in Cool Edit Pro which gave the sound we wanted.

I used this sound in an audio piece called "Dragons of the Sun".
Thank you for your excellent sound!

Nicely done. I just got a DR-07 myself and had a chance to test it out. The pre-amp circuitry for external mics seems to be very quiet in the DR-07.

Very good work, but after download on my PC, it doesn't sound any more.
