This 24bit/48KHz sample pack contains five samples recorded as we were experimenting with a huge old vacuum cleaner tube which, incidentally, smelled really old and fusty. With a view to perhaps making some more serious recordings in future, we just let the track roll and I tried a few things out. All sources were recorded with an AKG C414 just inside the tube through NPNG preamp and a little Empirical Labs compression. Tracked to Pro Tools through Frontier Design Group converters. Final edits performed in Cool Edit Pro. This sample is me hacking and coughing from trying too hard to simulate a roar like a mythical creature, then dropping a naughty word and commenting about the smell of the tube.
