Splash into the ocean surf, sound of submersion, bubbles, whale song, returns to surface to surf and crashing wave.
Constructed in LIVE! with Reaktor.
Surf base made from white noise filtered and tweaked in a synth called Buzzer.
I added Pitched down and filtered gong, two cymbals and a kick drum to create the first splash. Automated another filter to create the submerging and added a water splashing through a grain delay to create splashes and bubbles. The whale sound came from a Reaktor synth called 2-Osc. Another kick drum and crash were filtered and added for the second wave. Added and automated a filter delay to tailor the fade out. Used a lot of riding and automation.
Created for the "Earth Wind Fire Water competition".
