Oh thank you, but you give me too much credit. The good people on freesound inspired and taught me how to do this, and there are many more sounds created by people who know what they're doing a lot better. It was fun though :)

Wow, thanks for that, yes it was just set to default (8) So I did it again changing it to 32 and you're right! Much cleaner looking and sounding (for a bunch of hideous noise anyway) and the clip itself is much shorter. interesting . . . :) I added the sound to this pack (menacingmachine1version2)
Notice the nice panning effect. - Audiopaint uses different colours for left and right. Since there are 3 colour layers in a picture (Red, Green, Blue), one of the colour layers is ignored. Can't remember which cpolour is which... check the instructions. If you want to produce a mono sound, first convert the image to greyscale.
