A beautiful call of the Eastern Phoebe...this call is also a very unique call in the bird-world. In the Eastern and Midwestern United States, these are usually the first to arrive in the Spring. I have seen these many times as I hike in the deep woods, but this was a nice surprise for me to hear one, literally, in my backyard about 7 o:clock in the morning.
I recorded this one in my backyard -- I live in a small town in a rural area.
I caught this on my Handy Zoom H4N recorder, using its internal, built-in stereo microphones set on a record volume about 70.
Enjoy
