Playground in the historic city center of 's-Hertogenbosch. While the microphone hangs a little further ahead near the entrance to a covered section of the narrow city river Binnendieze, children are playing in the cloister garden of the former Mariënburg, which now houses residences and the jheronimus academy of data science. About The Binnendieze/ Vughterstroom. A Hidden Waterway Through History:
Flowing quietly through the heart of ’s-Hertogenbosch, the Binnendieze is more than just a canal—it’s a living monument to the city’s medieval past. This intricate network of narrow waterways once served as a vital system for defense, drainage, and transport within the city walls. This part of De Binnendieze is called De Vughterstroom.
