50 minutes of the creation process of ''Tape'', a monumental walk-in installation, which consists of giant cocoons made of 30 kilometres long transparent packing tape in a scaffold pipe construction. ![]()

Once inside this labyrinth you find yourself carried in a wondrous world by transparent tape. This impressive structure is made by Numen / For Use, a Croatian / Austrian design group. http://numen.eu/
Tape was previously exhibited in Berlin, Melbourne and the Palais de Tokyo in Paris and adapts to every environment.
The project is made for the art festival Shine: www.boschshine.nl/ that can be visited between May 7-17 2015. It's a co-operating with Paleiskwartier Entrepreneurs, residents of several apartment complexes, with the educational institutions (Art Academy St. Joost and Avans CMD). A dozen of students of the Avans CMD and Art Academy St. Joost help to create the work this week.
This Numen-group exists through continuous collaboration of Sven Jonke, Christoph Katzler and Nikola Radeljković. Www.numen.eu
More about the festival: On May 7th, 2015 the very first edition of SHINE Bosch Arts Festival starts. A brand new exciting and surprising multidisciplinary arts festival. SHINE presents a rich palette of internationally oriented interactive art forms and is inspired by the triptych by Hieronymus Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights. Experience earthly temptations, demonic dreams and serene reflection in the Paleiskwartier. Climb the transparent monumental installation TAPE built by Numen of literally kilometers of tape. After Paris and Berlin Numen hits the Netherlands for the very first time. Be in time for the Koningin van één Nacht, which blossoms only once a day or the screening of Murnau’s legendary Faust accompanied with a brand new modern film score.
Every day there are premium films on the program, initiated or followed by a Q & A and discussion with acclaimed specialists such as Antoine Bodar, designer Maarten Baas or philosopher Daan Roovers outlining hallucinogenic contexts. Movie Specials with live music give an insight into Bosch's themes heaven, hell and heaven temptation.
Wander about the playfully decorated venues with atmospheric and hi tec pavilions, and terraces and enjoy performances, installations, animations, projections, artistic games, DJ sets and the new generation of talented singer-songwriters. Along with pop-ups and special outdoor screenings in the old city center state SHINE guarantees a cheerful and special experience!
More about the recording: This recording I made in 50cm from the middle, under the installation during the making process. The student walk bare feet in the cocoons sticking many layers of tape to make the construction that strong that a group of maximum five people can visit it during the festival.

This is a modern high quality -q10 OGG Vobis compression file (96000Hz/16bit). You can easily use this file in HD-film and HIFI music-tracks. The sound-quality is, after this compression technique is still very high. The file size reduction is about 87% of a 96/24 WAV-track and it is still very good.
A 96/24 HiFi file available on special request: 150502_0663 ORG 96.flac
A special thanks goes to all the people who allowed me to make this recording without the loud radio that was on (and really needed for the hard labour) when I came to record.
When you use this sound it would be nice if you spent a voluntarily donation to freesound.
YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO CREDIT/ATTRIBUTE me (klankbeeld) and freesound.org in your work if you use this sound.
