Thank you for this beautiful recording of the music that ‘De Gruunen Errum’ played on Monday February 16th in the ‘Korte Waterstraat’ in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
We just left our local pub ‘De Knillispoort’ preparing ourselves for a musical tour through the streets of ‘Oeteldonk’.
(= the second name of ‘s-Hertogenbosch used during the 3 days of Carnival)
As a member of ‘De Gruunen Errum’ (. . The Green Arm / Sleeve. .) I can remember that I saw some technicians of ‘Free Sound’ putting up a microphone high above us in the small street when we started playing outdoor on that sunny Monday afternoon.
The song we played: ‘Ten Grubby Dirty Fingers’ (= Tien Vieze Vuile Vingers) is one of our favourites, because it’s an old time traditional and our audience always sings along and gets more and more enthusiast, as you can hear on this recording.
Standing before the door of our home-pub ‘De Knillispoort’ some fellow-musician’s from another band joined in and added an extra dimension to this heavenly moment.
Thank you very much for putting this recording on the internet. If you want more we can meet again during one of those beautiful 3 Carnival days.
Only one remark!: The Photo in your WEB article is not ‘De Gruunen Errum’.
I'm going to try to send you a recent picture of our band and our standard for better recognition.
We hope to meet you all again, Carnival 2017 on February 26th, 27th and 28th in Oeteldonk.
Kind regards,
