LOCATION HISTORY:
Between Vughterstraat nr 154 and 158 is a small alley called Bleekerstraatje, leading to a small city-park/garden. Bleekerstraatje can be translated as bleach-street or whiten-street, because in the old days canvas or linen was bleached in the field I am recording now. This part of the city is from the middle-age-period. One house is called 'Bleekhuis' (bleach-house). Bleachers lived there in the beginning of the 17th century. Wash-basins from these days were found in this house. A small city-river (Parkstroom, park-stream) was just behind this house. There the bleacher washed there linens in this river. The bleach-field, now the park, was ones owned by the 'kruisbroeders', monks that lived here these days.
Recorded: October 6th 2013 between 11-11.45 am. Weather: 19c, clear sky, no wind. Location: Bleekersstraatje, 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch), Netherland (Holland)
Gear: Rode NT4 (xy90) in Rode blimp > Sony PCM D50 recorder.
