Midnight February 12th 2013 in suburban windy city.
This long recording was a test. I wanted to know if I could hear the live carnival music of brass-bands far away in the city on 2.5 km. Normally when the wind is coming from that direction it must be possible, but the wind in coming on a 90 degree angle. It will be hard to hear the bands. During this recording you can hear the bands far sometimes. Because of the wind the sound is fading in and out.
Except of the music the result of this recording is also a long (53 minutes) windy night shot of a suburban environment at night during winter. You hear the wind in the dry leaves sometimes. Traffic driving on a local road behind the houses. Sometimes you hear people around and coots in the pound.
