I sat by this lake under the Milkyway on a clear midwinter night and this is what i heard. It always amazes me, when you sit down and intensely listen to a place, what drama unfolds.
At 7:23 you can hear a fox “scream” in the distance. Towards the end of the recording at 8:14 i switched on my torch and gave the poor birds a fright. That was a bit of drama i caused, a bit naughty, I know.
Recorded with my trusty Zoom H4.

Thank you for making this wonderful, clear and atmospheric recording available. I have used it as part of the sound montage behind an arrangement of the Ainu tonkori piece Ponsumari Heciri, a traditional tonkori dance illustrating fox cubs (or spirits) dancing in the moonlight.
