Imagine you are out in the Australian Outback, (the Tanami Desert to be precise). It is nighttime i have decided to record some "night air" the wind is gently "singing" in the Desert Oaks. I drive away from the camp to capture some "pure" sound. I have my cans on and I'm looking for the best place to set up my mic when suddenly i hear a loud snort. It is quite close and my first thoughts are it's a bull - remember it is pitch black so i can't see a thing. Obviously this animal is threatened by my presence because it keeps snorting and pacing up and down. I decide to set my mic up next to the four wheel drive, just in case i need to make a fast get away. Upon further listening i deduce it is a feral camel.
