This recording was done in one of the glasshouses of the "Berggarten" in Hanover / Germany.
Apart
from plenty of Orchids and other plants there are different varieties
of finches flying around in this glasshouse: the reason for this
recording.
I placed the recorder in the middle and on this morning there was just one gardener working there.
This recording was done with a Zoom H2 recorder.
The
most unusual feature of the H2 is its triple quadruple mic capsule,
which enables various types of surround recordings, including a matrixed format that stores 360° information into four tracks for later extraction into 5.1.
This is the rear microphone track.
With a tool it is possible to convert the H2 quad recordings into six channels, according to 5.1 SMPTE/ITU standard.

You need to download the track of the microphones in the front, too.
Sorry about the noise of me switching the recorder on and off, but I didn´t wanted to cut this track.
