The Volvo B10M is a minority in Hong Kong, which only MTR is still using it as non-franchised bus. This type of bus can be seen always at K65, but sometimes on other Northwest MTR bus routes at morning peak hour.
Its engine installed at the middle of the bus is the main characteristic to distinguish B10M from other buses. Since its short and "slim" feature, it is mostly used on K65 normal run, which needs to run across the narrow Ping Ha Road - Hang Mei Tsuen part. However, some special trips which run across Long Tin Road instead of that, for example, are not restricted to use specified bus type(s).
The MTR's Volvo B10M will be retired at 28th July, 2012. Its successor will mostly be Dennis Enviro 400.
Recorded at forth front right seat.
