I developed these clusters (modes 1 - 12) around 1983 while I was working as a student in an old fashioned Analogue Electronic Music studio at Utrecht Conservatory of Music. So I did choose the intervals a long time ago. The clusters are coloring my music in a recognisable way. I developed the filters over the last 4 years and I am still working on these kind of filters. (KS, two-pole resonators and Butterworth)
> I always wondered--since I have no experience with KS filters, resonators, etc.--do you choose the intervals, or do they happen by themselves? you seem to gravitate to certain intervals which have a pulling, melancholy feel, like they're coming from distant memory. People should check your site to see how many types of composition you do (and how deeply).
