Spain, Galicia - Rosa, Aida and Chisco singing together in the kitchen after diner. Beautiful galician voices in the small village of Moscoso (Galician countryside, close to Pontevedra).
Rosa y Aida are beautiful people and good friends of mine. I don't have the copyright of the song, but you can contact me for any use and questions. Thanks.

Rosa and Aida are two sisters living together in the small village of Moscoso. Chisco is a young song-collector and friend of them. They are singing together after dining.
They're singing in galician (not in Spanish), most of the people talk about the Celtic influences of Galician, a few talk about the big Arabic influence too (the Arab have been in Spain for a while, leaving part of their culture).
If you're interested in Galician voices, you can find more sounds, songs and video on the website from the documentary project I have done about this subject at the end of my study called TEMPO DA RECOLLEITA.
The website: www.tempoda.com
And if you are interested in song-field-recording, Alan Lomax is definitely the master!
This is a nicely recorded piece. You can tell it's a group of real people in the kitchen. There's an ambience and a reflectivity to the voice if it were. If one was ignorant they were listening to Spanish, they might find Arabic hints in those rhythms.
