This is a soundsample of crickets, birds and frogs singing at night. Its not directly recorded but made of a variety of real animal recordings. The sample includes many different cricket species singing, some frogs chirping, a Common Loon and a Chuck-will's-widow calling in the background and it also contains a little bit of wind to make it feel more like an outdoor scene. All the cricket-, bird- and frog species and their real sounds resemble those in Oklahoma. So I have only checked on the nature in Oklahoma and mixed the sounds together. I have not even been there to listen to it myself. Tell me if it sounds like your home!!! Enjoy! :D I encourage you not to use this sound in projects and sounds that maybe are going to be sold due to copyright issues that could occur by doing so.

nice, very relaxing.
You asked if this sounds like home. Truthfully, I'd have to say that I've never heard a loon in Oklahoma. On the other hand, a summer's night on an Oklahoma lake can be a magical place. And you've certainly captured that in this clip.
You also asked for a link to a resource that uses this recording. Here's one,
http://plum-creek.us/beau_soir.html
To run the video on that page requires QuickTime or other software to play an MP4 video file. Your recording runs over the ending credit titles.
With appreciation,

Hi Eric...I LOVE this clip. It's just right for a show I am doing. It opens this week in Los Angeles. The piece is set at the top of the world...4 nations meeting to share wisdom. We sit around a fire and talk(more complex but..yah)...your sound will be the background in and out of the whole thing. THANK YOU! :~} ~Tatyanna
This is great, thank you! Too many frog/cricket sounds are so short. You did a great job with this! Very American soundscape, perfect.
When you use this for a film, soundtrack or something, I would very much like to see/hear it. Write a comment with a link!!!
