Strong wind (a gale, actually) passing through the leaves of a pine tree, and occasional raindrops. The tough leaves of this montane Pine species (Pinus pinaster) make a nearly solid noise, quite wild... Different of the soft murmur I most often record at warm sites by the sea (umbrella pines). This was registered near Puerto (Pass) del Boyar (Grazalema, S Spain) using a pair of Shure WL183 - with DIY windscreens - a Fel preamp and an Edirol R09 recorder

WOW. beautiful- thank you! especially appreciate and fascinated by how much detail you put in here and how much you know about the particular trees. Do you have any idea if the pines on Ibiza are you same species? working on an art and sound project and I'm just learning. thanks SO much for sharing this.
