A long register of luxuriant marsh ambiance in Mid/Side stereo perspective. Notice: this is nearly a documentary, could bore most people except unrepentant nature lovers. It includes lots of weird funny sounds produced by birds, most of the time you will listen to male Coot calling, fighting/splashing around, Sand Martins, Swallows, Little Greb, Mallard, sheep bleats in background... wind noise at times. I know the file is heavy, but decided not to cut as (1) it makes me happy each time I listen, so I want to share 'as is'; (2) it is kind of a miracle: the sources were real close to the mics - I happened to be at the right spot - and there were no serious interferences of vehicles, planes, or people (hurray!).
Recorded a glorious, cold morning near Caño de Guadiamar (Doñana, S Spain) with Sennheiser MKH60 + MKH30, Shure FP24 preamp, Edirol R09 recorder. Decoded to Mid-Side stero with Voxengo free VST plugin.
Although the Mid/Side stereo image in this file is nice, for an impressive widely-spaced omnidirectional perspective of the same sounds please listen to the companion sample 20080302.guadiamar.omnis.flac
