Yes, I also noticed something strange... Later in the season? maybe, I don't know. This one lived relatively close to the coast in closed scrub/Junipers, and there was hardly any light at the time. The others I have recorded were during the day and at places more typical (marshes, dirty roads)

Interesting to compare this call with your crested.lark_plane_marshes.mp3 and my CrestedLark.wav. This one has an extra "chuck" on the front of the "saucy sue". Later in the season?
