This is a filtered version of daveincamas "Mt. St. Helens Eruption From 140 Miles Away" recording. I examined the sound in a spectral analyser and filtered all the sounds that were not related to the low-frequency booms. Interesting to watch your peak meters responding to this sound, some very low frequency pressure waves there.daveincamas original http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=21432 digifish

nice job ! this is for sure one of the more interesting files on FS....i like your version ,but there is something about the original ambient recording..something foreboding ,menacing ..very end of the world sounding. i think that it is a historical recording occuring in real time it also adds another layer to the weight of the sound.
thanks again

Man, you did filter that sound very well according to the original! I'm feeling in some way that u miss just a frequency or two.
Otherwise its just because I've heard the original with so much background noise of the nature that hearing all of it gone makes me think something is missing.
Nevertheless, great achievement on the filtering!
