November 12th, 2006

A marching band in a small town parade along a tree-lined street. The band started their drum cadence when they were right next to me. The last of the band passes and I pan toward them as they head away from me. At about 25 seconds I begin walking beside them, slowly overtaking them (which takes a while, there are about 160 band members). At about 2:10 I have caught up to the front of the band and I stand still as the band goes past. At about 2:50 they begin their song medley again and they march off into the distance.

FYI this is the marching band from Camas High School in Camas, Washington. Many of my marching band recordings are of this band.

I love it! Do you know the name of the town or school the band is from?

Hey there, I'm using this sample in a podcast I produce that showcase youth work produced for public radio. Check it out at http://www.youthcast.org. Thanks for the good work!
