This is a clip taken from a multi-track session of a sound installation made in 2010. The installation featured audio from five people currently living in Bradford with different backgrounds. Each had been asked to speak for about ten minutes on 'What Bradford Means To Them'.
When the audio was played together it created a dialogue between participants that didn't happen in 'real time', and was the second in a series of five installation entitled 'Convers[ation]'.
The five different tracks from the installation were put into multi-track edit during production in order to align the pauses before transferring the audio over onto cassette tapes. This proved futile as different makes and models of cassette player were used in the installation and subsequently played out at different speeds.
