This is a recording of two Gretsch Catalina Maple floor toms, one 14 inches in diameter, one 16 inches. I replaced the original tom feet with Pearl air suspension feet, which gave a huge improvement in tone, resonance and sustain.
Recorded with a Sony ECM-DS70P Stereo Recording Microphone into an iRiver H340 mp3 player. Normalized in Sony Sound Forge.
