unknown animal in tall grassland grass 10 minutes after dawn in Southeast Pennsylvania in early November 2009.
I have another sound ID question that I am stumped by and which I think is pretty difficult to figure out. I was recording sparrow flight calls at dawn in a 6ft grassland area and there was something large rustling around right near me.
There are fox in the area and deer, but the noise sounded more like the quality of a pig or a Ringed Necked Pheasant. Cornell's library has very few files under Ringed Necked Pheasant and pretty much all are the "Cow Katt" call/song.
